THE BATHROOM
This is a house that was growing thru generation. The first original building didn't have a bathroom. Later on, a small extension was built and there was created a reception area with entrance to the main building and to the new toilet. Later on, the building grows one more time and a kitchen was added to this same area which allowed the toilet to grow and become, still very small, but a bathroom. Finally, in this house, there were 2 bathrooms but the first one was unused for the last 10 or more years.
A new approach to this task allowed me to redefine this area. I divided the bathroom and created a new bathroom and a utility room. The existing entrance serviced the utility room while the new bathroom gets a door from more heat protected, deeper part of the house.
An existing pilaster received contrasting tiles creating a featured element that reminds the past of this part of the house.
![]() PROPOSALDesign done in 3d software because of complex shape of the existing room and to ensure the best usage of the space. There were used BIM models of sanitaryware. At the stage of creating the project color scheam wasn't choosen and tails are idicative showing the featured pilaster tailing. | ![]() ON SITE |
